Differs by Deck Type

Mastering decks on Spotlight! are rewarded based on their deck type - meaning that all regular decks will receive the same reward, regardless of card count; the same principle applies to the special decks. This is mostly due to the fact that special decks can have varying card counts, which is a contrast to the regular decks that may only contain 15 or 25 cards.

Collaboration Decks, or member-created decks, are a different story. For the first six weeks after a deck's release, members will receive a greater reward and a custom master badge. After those six weeks have passed, masteries of collaboration decks will yield the same reward as special decks.

This policy may change in the future when it becomes clear on how many different card counts may end up existing.

The Rewards

After you've received enough cards to master a deck, you are required to either create a thread or reply to your existing thread within the "masteries" section of the forums in order to receive your reward. Once you have received your reward, you are free to update your trade post to show off your new mastery - even if Cami is not the one to respond to your thread.

Regular Decks: 2 choice cards, 3 random cards + 20 Idol Points
Special Decks: 2 choice cards, 4 random cards + 50 Idol Points
Collaboration Decks: 3 choice cards, 6 random cards + 60 Idol Points (during first six weeks after release)
Collaboration Decks: 2 choice cards, 4 random cards + 50 Idol Points (after the first six weeks)
Event Cards: 1 choice card, 5 random cards + 40 Idol Points (unaffected by boosts/coupons)

When redeeming masteries, you are NOT allowed to use pending choice cards from other services such as levels, trade submissions, and the record store. This is to ensure that the staff members running the other services are able to confirm that you've done everything correctly.

However, you ARE allowed to chain masteries to each other as long as you keep within the mastery limits indicated on the forum.

Master Badges

When you master a deck, you may choose to use the regular master badge (shown above) or a custom master badge. However, unless you are re-mastering a deck or mastering a collaboration deck within the first six weeks of its release, you must first purchase a custom badge coupon in the Record Store and attach it to the mastery that you are using it for.

If you choose to purchase a custom master badge, you will also be given the regular master badge along with it. This is so that you have something to display on your trade post until the custom master badge has been made.

Please note, however, that master badges won't be customized for large puzzle decks (under any circumstance) due to the fact that a only one image is used when making the deck.
